It is a hard sell for me to vote for any of these actor vanity projects. Plus Land Down Under is fun.

I don't like it, but I don't think it was a vanity project. It was in Dirty Dancing and he starred. You might as well say that Summer Nights was a vanity project for Travolta.

Once again the megapoll gods frown on my desire to vote along crappy novelty hits.

I voted for Down Under but I imagine that stance won't last very many rounds because I like Who Can It Be Now and Overkill much better.

Me too, especially Colin Hay's acoustic version of Overkill.

I think Colin Hay is touring with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band this year.

Sorry I'm tardy here but I did finally just add the critical vote that makes it 24-0.

True Mondegreen Confession: For decades, whenever I happened to hear Men at Work's "It's a Mistake," I mistook the title refrain as "Midsummer's Day."

Yeah I have some hearing damage why do you bring it up?

I have a mondegreen as an earworm now whenever I hear Overkill. I never used to hear it as

"close to beer and fade away"

, because that makes no sense at all, but when someone pointed that out, that's all I can hear now.

Ack, I always thought it was "close to fear and fade away" which is just as [il]logical.

"Ghosts appear and fade away..." makes so much sense. I learned something today.
