June Bug [rant]

There are apparently supply line issues at some stores and they're a bit erratic about carrying the same brands so I'm not completely to blame. And some brands have lackadaisical quality control too. Ah well, gyoza tend to be forgiving overall--but I've given up on any seafood filled ones, it always tastes like elementary school tuna salad to me. Gyoza can also be salvaged with a good enough dipping sauce, not always an option with dumplings.

I am so tired. Every time I just fall asleep he wakes up, howling. Sometimes to pee, sometimes to get out of bed, or back in. Sometimes just to howl, because he hurts.

I may have respite care coming in the next week or so, but not soon enough.

Gods, I'm so sorry, picu, that sounds like hell on earth and I'm willing to bet a fiver if the roles were reversed he wouldn't be taking care of you the way you do for him. I know you love him and all, but man-babies just infuriate me. I've been in chronic and/or acute pain for years at a time and have never felt the need to scream and yell and moan and fuss over it--pain is pain, deal with it. Yelling doesn't help one bit and in fact it usually makes it worse but man-babies seem to think that spreading out the misery is going to improve their situation in some way. My dad used to threaten to "give us something to REALLY cry about" and I hate that expression but dang, sometimes it's tempting to tell it to some whiny ass titty baby of a man AND follow through on the threat.

We already have the poor folks discount. They can't actually turn off the lights. I have an oxygen concentrator that needs power.

I spoke with someone HUD about our mortgage. I 'll be able to pay it late, but if I do I can't get the low cost home improvement loan I was hoping for in Oct.

It makes me abjectly sad that Edna and I play "Guess Where The Mass Shooting Was Last Night" every morning. I told her the states, she had to guess the cities. She got them both right this time, but I had to give her a LOT of hints to guess Fort Worth, Texas. Why would she think there'd be a mass shooting at The Alamo?

Today's rant isn't about my wife forgetting Fort Worth exists. My rant is that there was yet another horrifying event that made her remember that Fort Worth exists. This is not a slight to Philadelphia, which she only guessed when I started to hum "Philadelphia Freedom."

I don't know...life just seems easier to bear when it's made into an inappropriate game.

EDIT: Fuck me, the local news is reporting of a shooting with two killed in Lansing, as well.
