Honestly, I worry that we may have lost BeeGee. I sent a few cards and nothing. She was always so responsive, and I feel like she wouldn't flake out and not send Miss Raffe along. When I was first diagnosed with cancer, well, diagnosed again, she sent me lovely teas and a beautiful shawl. I lost the shawl to my mom, who loves it and wears it every cool day, so I get to look at it.

But yeah, I've worried about BeeGee for a long time now. I really hope she lost track of sending Miss Raffe and is embarrassed. No judgement, girlfriend, we just want you back.

I believe the Tales of the Traveling Ungulates began back in 2011 when jali sent out a mystery package

That giraffe quickly disappeared and a couple of months later jali sent out another one

That one lasted for several years. Many Raffers took part and added their own contributions to the box. Jali collected a lot of the threads here; those threads include lots of great photos.

Eventually that package disappeared as well. JimNightshade restarted the tradition with Miss Raffe. I was fortunate enough to accompany Miss Raffe on a road trip two years ago; my photos are in this thread along with other adventures involving Miss Raffe.

I forgot to mention that Peeking Duck sent yet another package of stuffed animal travelers out into the world after Miss Raffe disappeared for a while. That chapter of the tale begins with post 291 in this thread

Flying Saucerian, the two travellers C2H5OH has, with the offer to send on, do not include the Ms/Miss Raffe (Jim uses both titles) that Jim is looking for and lamenting.

These different raffes come and go, and I love them all.
