What are you watching online?
After reading Ed's post here about Ask a Mortician, I thought about several webisodes I like watching.
![]() ![]() Hot Ones has been a favorite since pre-covid times. This one with Gordon Ramsey is one of the best. SNL did a spoof of it with "Beyonce" that is hilarious. Also: Stephen Colbert took on an abbreviated challenge that undoubtedly tested his faith in mankind. ![]() ![]() Between Two Ferns has been around a long time and still cracks me up. Especially the blooper outtakes. Sure, they're ripping off Jiminy Glick (who ripped off several others), but Zach's clueless indifference to everything makes it hilarious. The one with Brad Pitt is one of the best. ![]() ![]() Uncle Roger is another web series that's frequently updated. Is it racist? Probably. Oh well, I'm going to hell because I laugh every time I watch. But at least I'll learn a few cooking tricks. |

There are so many. I always watch Weird History when it comes out:
![]() ![]() And Ask a Mortician: ![]() ![]() And Sam O'Nella, though he posts infrequently: ![]() ![]() And if you'd like to be stressed, Idiots in Cars: ![]() ![]() SciShow, posts almost daily. So happy to see that Hank has beaten lymphoma. Hank and John Green are very important internet educators to our generation. ![]() ![]() Speaking of John Green, Crash Course: ![]() ![]() There is no explanation for the fact that I have seen every Technology Connections video at least 10 times: ![]() ![]() Aaand Simply Nailogical. I buy her nail polish exclusively. ![]() ![]() There are more, but I'll stop now. |

![]() ![]() Rob Gavagan, mostly true crime and paranormal stuff: ![]() ![]() In a Nutshell: ![]() ![]() ElectroBOOM: ![]() ![]() Sometimes I like to let Scotty tell me how stupid I am: ![]() ![]() Tasting History: ![]() ![]() REGULAR ORDINARY SWEDISH MEAL TIME Don't forget your pre-dinner snack! ![]() ![]() Ze Frank talks about animals: ![]() ![]() This guy that eats old army rations: ![]() ![]() Customer States: ![]() ![]() Yaymath: ![]() ![]() |

Anyone see the Roadhouse remake on Amazon +? I’ve heard mixed reviews. How was it?

Late to the party, but may I suggest...
Travis McEnery - These Are The Spiders In Your House A very cool guy who talks about common spiders you might see in your house, their history, how to identify them, and tests their aggressiveness with the famous 'cheese test' amongst other categories of interest. He's a newer face to Youtube, I think he deserves some love. ![]() ![]() Sandi Brock - Sheepishly Me Can't recommend Sandi enough! A sheep farmer from Canada, she does vlogs about her daily life as a sheep farmer, crop farmer, mother and wife. She's an incredible person, and SHEEP!!! So cute, so interesting. BABY LAMBS. 'Nuff said. I've been watching her for *several* years now. ![]() ![]() Fascinating Horror Dour at times, but very very well done documentaries about real-life tragedies and events such as fires, building collapses, boat mishaps, plane crashes, and more. Narrated by a very calm, and rather kind voice, it really is more about the information than actually spooking anyone. They go over the incident itself, the aftermath, and what things that have (or haven't) been done to prevent disasters similar to them from happening again. ![]() ![]() Watercolor by Shibasaki A very kindly, very soothing older Japanese man who is a master with watercolors, oil pastels, pencils, you name it! There are subtitles to most if not every video. It's perfect for when you want to relax, and absolutely mindblowing! ![]() ![]() Agate Dad Guy finds awesome rocks, and cuts them open on his band saw to see if there's anything cool and pretty inside! Spoiler: There usually is! ![]() ![]() |

Crazed nutbar hikes into the northern Australian jungle wearing nothing but a pair of cutoffs, and recreates the history of human technology from stone age to steel starting with a stick and a rock.

Seconding or thirding Fascinating Horror, in case someone got there before I did.
Black Opal Direct: ![]() ![]() Justin cuts opal, talks about what he's doing, shows us the process, tries to teach over YouTube (and probably does a mighty job of it but I've never tried to follow his instructions.) How to ADHD Not linking any particular video here because the whole channel is good if you have ADHD or are dealing with a loved one with ADHD or just want to know more in general. The Vile Eye: ![]() ![]() Looks at villains and their backstories and determining whether the person is unremittingly evil (almost but not unfailingly always) How Ridiculous: ![]() ![]() The Mythbusters if they were young, Australian, and not even a little interested in science. Things go boom, bonk, and "WHOOOOOAH" on a regular basis. Watch out for Rexy, the show's mascot. Nick Zammetti: ![]() ![]() Wood turning, epoxy resin, random projects, guitars from broken CDs...Nick makes. He has a tendency to waffle on, too, so if that's not your thing seen his other channel, "Nick Zammetti Makes", which cuts out the waffling. Chocolate-making, cake-baking, cookie decorating: Amaury Guichon: ![]() ![]() In this video he weaves a basket out of chocolate. All edible. Robert Lucas/Sweet Impact ![]() ![]() You can also watch Robert on the Nailed It! competition show (not regular Nailed It!), where he assists the would-be bakers in doing what they do. He's completely self-taught, and it took me a few minutes to pick one because his cakes are really good. How to Cake It ![]() ![]() Sweet Ambs Cookies ![]() ![]() I have decorating envy And one I keep coming back to: Hercules Candy ![]() ![]() Family owned and operated candy store in New York. I love the dynamic here, the people genuinely seem to like and/or love each other (where appropriate). |

If you like Donny T-Rump then you will probably hate this YouTube channel but if you dislike Bitch-ass Donny then you will dig it big-time: https://www.youtube.com/@jabarijones7749
Q: What do you get when you cross Donny T-Rump with a painted up gold-digging Slovenian prostitute? ![]() ![]()

Makes me miss my cat Puddin. He could take the heat. Any heat. Satan, himself, would have a hard time keeping up with him. I'd toss him the bones from the 'Global Thermonuclear' wings I used to import from Cluck-U in NJ, and his response was "If you can take it, human, so can I. Bring it on!" and snarf 'em down, while Misha (the youngest, third cat) would circle the plate, trying to find a way to the bones that didn't make his eyes water. Second cat, Murph, had already run away and hid under the bed. If it didn't kill the human, Puddin wasn't about to let it slow him down. The other two, not so much. I'll watch the rest of the videos in this thread, later. I've had enough for this current bout of insomnia. |

Okay, this isn't what I'm watching on YouTube but it's what I'm listening to. Until yesterday I had no idea these guys existed but now I'm totally digging this album. They were Top Drawer and this, their only album, is Solid Oak. WARNING: Some of the lyrics are kind of lame.
![]() ![]() Take a listen and maybe tell what you think about it, Ok? Cheers |

Woodturning videos, the more waffly the better.
Jim Sprague is a short fat Canadian veteran who makes some of the coolest shit I've ever seen out of epoxy and really ugly wood (maximum verbosity): ![]() ![]() Mike Holton, whose voice is like giving your brain a hot bubble bath. Has a Yorkshire accent that turns "mushroom" into "mooshrum." Fond of experimentation, especially when it goes totally wrong. ![]() ![]() Cornell University's live bird feeder cam. Even the cats like this one. Tits and peckers all over the place. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Rat Diva; 8th November 2024 at 05:56 AM. |

Since some of those are known to be staged, I report every single one I come across. If they were a real rescuer they'd put their phone away and get to work.

I've taken a liking to Let's Game It Out, a funny channel for a guy on YouTube who plays video games as wrong as possible. I got into it after somebody on another forum linked to one of his Satisfactory episodes; he's got a series of them. In fact, the Steam store actually uses his "conveyor belt tornado" as the first game image in the storefront.
