That is an HK USC Carbine .45 caliber. Think "Modern day Tommy Gun." It has an EOTech halographic sight and a surefire light and vertical handle on the rails.

It is very light and shoots like a dream...

Nice artillery, Mateo. How do you like the Benelli? I have the Mossberg clone of it and love it to pieces.

I love the thing! It will cycle everything (ARGO Gas System)- from light duty bird shot to three inch slugs and everything in between. If you shoot a box of 3 inch slugs through it you will never again have to prove your manhood...

The Mossberg has cycled everything I've thrown into it. We usually end a combat shotgun competition with a couple of slugs into jugs of water. That's really gratifying.

Slugs.

More fun per oz than almost anything. Does yours use a regulated gas system like the Benelli?

Yeah, it's a pretty direct clone of the Benelli, at about half the cost. I even shoot trap with it. http://www.mossberg.com/products/default.asp?id=32

Using 185-grain XTP's leaves plenty of room for powder. But for maximum fun, I like 300-grain flat-points on top of H110 powder. There's so much bullet engaging the rifling that the gun twists in your hand as it snaps up. Great recoil therapy.

It's the only gun I own that I actively seek out a bigger boom (Carefully loaded to within safe limits, of course).

All my rifles are weird, mild-shooting calibers. But I like that Ruger to roar.

S&W 28-2

I love this gun. It's a bit worse for wear, been dropped once, had tens of thousands of rounds through it and still shoots better than I can hold. It was the first center fire revolver I ever bought and my first Smith & Wesson. It goes with me every time I head into the brush.

S&W 28-2

Hundreds of thousands of American Youth learned to shoot with a Winchester Model 67. This one has been heavily modified: D&T for scope, barrel shortened to 21 inches and stock re-worked by me and my Pop. It's been on every Prairie Dog hunt in the last decade and has accounted for hundreds of those rodents.

What kind of scope is that on the bottom AR? I've been looking at scopes for mine and it seems NCStar makes a nice one that is very cost effective at $130. The red dot I've got on it now isn't enough to hit bowling pins at 150 yards.

That's an ACOG. They are damn sweet, but pricey.

ACOGs look like they are about $1500, so yeah pricey. It looks like I can find something that will do in 150-200 range. But a guy can dream.

As Tripler says, it's an ACOG M150 Rifle Combat Optic. It is a 4x32 optic with dual tritium/fiber-optic sights. My reticle differs slightly from the Army Issue reticle. Didn't feel like I needed as precise a cross hair mounted on a 10" rifle.
Looks like this:
http://www.gunshopfinder.com/trijico...le_diagram.jpg

The Army one has a more distinguishable 100m, 200m, and 300m aiming points. Like so: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1...61/USMC_M4.jpg

Price? Around $1100 or so.

Damn, that post took forever to complete. Damned hotel internet.

I have an SS Sparrow on the way for my FN 5.7 (pictured). Just got a threaded barrel for it, but the silencer is going to take another 6 months, I'm sure. Going to also buy a Sig P22 to use with the Sparrow as well. Then I think I will be finished buying guns for the next couple years. Unless I see a deal or something.

Two new additions! (Happy Birthday to me!)

Chinese Type 53, a clone of the Mosin-Nagant M44 Carbine.
I had an M44, but I sold it to a dear friend at a bargain price when I needed a little money.

Here's a closer look at the action. This is right out of the box, it's in rough shape, but at least it's not packed in cosmoline like some I've gotten. Lots of it in the magazine, though.

Now this is what I've really been hot for since I first saw it.
The latest candidate for a carry piece, The Ruger LCP (Lightweight Compact Pistol) in .380.

I'm very looking forward to trying these both out at the range, tomorrow.

You're not wrong, G.C. Not that Dragonlady is right, necessarily...

There were a limited number of those Type 53s available, so I had to snag one while I had the money in my hot little hands. The other was an early birthday gift, or the result of one.

Never justify a gun purchase with more than I wanted it. Congratulations on both the natal anniversary and the acquisitions.

Just back from the range, both shot just fiiiiine. Got horror stories at the range first thing. Someone had a Mosin-Nagant shooting old Bulgarian ammuntion explode in his face, ripped up his arm, and but for the shooting glasses would have lost an eye. I was there to try out a surplus weapon for the first time with surplus ammo. Mine is Czechoslovakian not Bulgarian, but it made taking the first shot that much more scary. I put thirty rounds through it with no problems. I may post targets later.

The LCP was a disappointment at first, at 5 yds, it was shooting 6-8" low.

I took it out again and realized the sights were designed to have the blade sticking up over the rear sights, not flush with the top. Made all the difference in the world, and it went through 42 rounds of Federal with nary a problem. Even the rapid fire 'panic' shooting was all 8s or better.

I'm liking.

Happy Birthday! That's a sweet AK clone.

Why no new guns? They've been expensive and hard to find. Most of the gun stores I visit are pretty picked clean.

I've definitely noticed the ammo shortage, but I haven't seen it affect the amount of guns for sale. *shrug* Arizona.

No, looks/feels like it was just oiled and rough polished. Not so rough as to give you splinters, but it's going to need some Murphy's oil soap at the very least.

Do anything? No plans to. It has a weird little rail along the side for a night vision scope, but I've no use for that.

Mostly I'm going to brandish it in the air while standing on my roof yelling "WOLVERINES!"
