Last Stand Mafia - Night 7
Day seven was a short one for the soldiers, just after lunch the remaining band had formed a solid voting bloc segregating themselves from the one known as "Flying Squid". He was arguing and defending himself as much as possible, until crys walked up and lodged a jagged fragment of a Compact Disc into his skull. Which one was it you ask? Why it was "Sledgehammer", by Phil Collins.

Finally, you had me worried at some point during mid-day that he wasn't going to get lynched.
Does crys have two votes, or is the count not quite right? Anyway, in case I get NK'ed, I still believe either crys or MHaye is the last scum. MHaye is my leading candidate. Theoretical sceanario where BillMc is scum: 4/1 Tomorrow (Chucara, ScubaBen, MHaye, crys, BillMc) - Scum kills guiri 2/1 Tomorrow + 1 (ScubaBen, crys, BillMc) - We lynch MHaye, scum kills me ?/1 Tomorrow +2 (Crys) - We lynch BillMc, crys kills Scuba. If Bill is scum, we win. |

Color coded vote count:
Squid voted MHaye and then Crys D1, Tinker and then Crys D2, Bill, Lightfoot and then Laurie D4, and Bill again D7. Chucara voted Squid D5, 6 and 7. Note: Scum will bus, just look at Wombat, especially this late in the game where bussing a fellow scum, especially a "low value" one like Bill or Squid, could earn enough cred to skate to victory. Also there's the possibility that someone was recruited at some stage in the game so vote records shouldn't be enough to clear someone. Also, 5 scum, either starting or with recruitment, wouldn't be abnormal for a 20 player game - 25% or the square root of total players is common. However looking at balance, it's possible that there's just one scum left as a fifth scum would seem overpowered:

Bill might still be scum. That would explain why Skeezix won't modkill him. I think it is possible that Wombat was recuited, but I am not sure. Going by Lightfoot's win con, it wouldn't be unlikely that there were 2 3rd party poisoners, and it wouldn't be unlikely that scum would recruit a poisoner.
Did Lightfoot ever get beaten? (No time to check right now) |

Any suggestions for toMorrow's mission, just in case the game isn't over?
1. Man the radio tower (1) - not yet used 2. Check the water supply (2) - no apparent benefit 3. Patrol (1) - missionary can track a player 4. Run a security sweep (1) - missionary can roleblock a player 5. Clean the furnace (1) - seems to kill the missionary, can't use till N9 6. Conduct Political Reeducation (2) - no apprent benefit, but someone gets subdued 7. Clean Barracks Bathroom (1) - can't use again till N10 8. 3rd Watch (1) - not yet used While I'm curious about the unused missions, it may be useful to select "Patrol" for N8 and, even if I'm dead, "Run a Security Sweep" will automatically be selected for N9. That way we send a suspected townie on the mission each Night, preventing their death, and use the Track or Roleblock on the top suspect... |

Glad to know we were right about someone. Another Scum bites the dust.
Without knowing what the two unused missions do, I agree with your plan, guiri -- with the advisory that if the missionary's target is NOT Scum/3P, the REAL hostile can choose to not act thereby framing the target. So we need to have a consensus on TWO mission targets, and the missionary gets to pick. Now off to clean up poop. I've gotten very good at cleaning up poop. |

I do have news from the mission. And yes, it's all about cleaning up poop.
I'll share the peems Tomorrow. Thanks to eliminating Flying Scum, I'm sure we'll have a Tomorrow. I am curious -- we let drop the discussion of who might have money (cf: Thief, Dirty Cop). Does anybody left know anything about having money? I don't. |

Me neither, just that Colby could steal it and possibly Peeker could be bribed with it. Since Colby acted without his victim noticing, I'm guessing they were also unaware they had money in the first place and his thieving is likely unrelated to the beatings.
