I have come to dislike the HS's online grade notification program. There's no ability to digest the data into ONE email, so I get 8 individual class updates, for one example.
Also, I don't need to check #2 son's grades every week. I'd much prefer one every 2 weeks or so, but that is not possible, either. My FB is still down. I don't see that this is a general thing. It's down on #2 son's computer as well (he uses Chrome). I've tried it in Safari and Firefox. I'm a bit amazed at how much I miss my Scrabble games. Good news! Window guy called and they will be installed on Thursday morning. ![]() |

More weirdness. Got onto FB long enough to post a status update. Tried to link to my Scrabble games and it's all gone again. My network connections are just fine.
Clearly something is wrong, but what? I have again cleared my cache and cookies and done the privacy settings/reboot thing to no avail. I'm open to suggestions at this point. Back at spackling, I suppose. <sigh> |

It's probably the opening salvos of Cyber War I. Not much to do about it except keep your virus defs up to date.

Facebook is actually a metric fuckton of servers physically located all over the planet, all under the facebook.com domain. They're so fucking huge they actually had to invent several new technologies to deal with the traffic. So one person in one region might see a problem with Facebook, while someone else in another region might be fine, or have some other problem instead.

![]() I've had a productive day: found a new dentist, made a dermatologist appointment, found where my Gyne moved to; bought curtain fabric and lining; made cookies and banana bread; tended to my house plants; applied more dry wall compound after sanding some other spots down; did laundry and made dinner. It's kind of amazing what I can get done when I stay offline. ![]() |

Jackie, I don't want to live in a world where God doesn't want us to have more bakery products!
We played an old board game, Probe, during supper. When we were trying to determine who goes first by rolling a die, the girl and I rolled the same number four times in a row. Then hubby and I tied for first place. Twice. I think we may need to bet on something as a collective. |

Not my same games from FB (I don't think). So boring when technology won't work. I can't get FB to load via Safari on my phone, either.
I'm pissed about it all, but not enough to try to solve it tonight. Really so sick of tech not working for me. Somehow I don't think others have these problems. When I used to take my old Macbook into Apple, the guy used to say that I had the weirdest things go wrong with my computer. Believe me, I'd rather not have this "unique" trouble. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Plus, not to sound like Opal and all, but I hate searching the Web on my phone-the screen is too small and the iPhone is awkward in my hand. If I don't get something sorted today with Comcast etc, I'll try it. Overslept (again). Missed train(s). Argh. |

The wife of a guy at work owns a bakery and needed some tasters to decide which cake pop to submit for a contest. There was a lemon, a salted caramel and a thin mint. I got to taste test all three. Sometimes life is good. ( I saved the thin mint one for Snookie, thought the salted caramel was divine but the lemon was also very good)

But I am here to say that I came home to a working FB. I did nothing. #2 son says he rebooted the router. Whatever. New windows tomorrow. Yay! |

Jesus. another fucking work meeting. about a month or so ago, we had long ass meeting about what my responsibilities would be (x number of groups, 16 clients, various paperwork and reports, 5 fucking hours per week in meetings etc). I have done that and MORE. Today, new meeting and they casually said they;d be increasing my caseload by 7, about a 50 % increase, and, to offset that, they suggested to drop four meetings per month and weekly job leads (total about 16 hours per month). I pointed out that the changes they were proposing were actually things that not only benefited all of the clients (not just on my caseload) but all of the other agencies case managers and our funding source saw as beneficial (they were suggesting dropping them totally, except one of the classes per month would be done by another staff). So, increase my responsibilities by 50% and decrease the amount of time spent on other shit by 13% per month. So after my comments were shot down over and over, I said 'ok, whatever, I'm tired of arguing about it". And I get as fucking email that says :"your comments were not helpful"
I simply do not need another fucking stressor right now. Seriously. My actual coworkers do not value what I do. The clients and the other agency we work with do. Just as an aside, I do each of my groups on my own. The others do them in tandem. |

Jesus, wring. That sounds terrible. I am sorry you have to deal with all of this on top of your other stressors.
![]() My work week has been pretty horrible. I am, however, taking my RDO on Friday and finally, finally getting my hair done. I haven't had a cut or color job since January and I'm embarrassed about the growing skunk stripe on the top of my head. Dinner is cooking. It's nothing fancy. Some kind of frozen Bertollini's stuff and it'll have to do. |

Ah, MyFriday has rolled around again, bliss. Widget is being limpydog today, didn't want to run for the ball much. I suspect Bear has been wrestling him around again and making him all hurty, he does that.
Wholesale tree murder happens tomorrow, I am stoked! Sorry y'all are having such shit times at work, that sux. ![]() |

Dammit. I really wanna watch Game of Thrones, I've intentionally held off on watching it but I got all sidetracked downloading Orphan Black and Nashville (don't judge me, it's full of tasty tasty man candy, also I constantly want to pinch Hayden Panettiere's...cheeks) and I have to wait until they're done or I won't get HD streaming off HBO. Fucking DSL sucks monkey hemmorrhoids<--it's really hard to stop spelling that word, y'know?

I still want to read the books and haven't yet...
Window guy is here. I really don't want to make curtains today--believe it or not, I'd rather clean various rooms and tidy up--but today is curtain day because Saturday is paint day, then Sunday is tidy up day. Ok, off to make curtains... <drags feet> |

For no real obvious reason I've had a headache since yesterday afternoon. This one has been a bit strange in that it survived going to sleep and got worse about 4am. Finally about 6 I gave in and depth bombed it with Naproxen Sodium (generic Aleve) and extra strong coffee. This isn't a migraine, but it is more persistant that most headaches I get.

He looks like Judgement Cat!
The tree murderers are here doing their dirty deeds, hooray! It's raining a bit so I made them a nice pot of coffee to give them lots of energy to murder trees expeditiously. I think I'm gonna have them take out the cherry trees too while I'm at it, those effers have got to go and it's just the right time to plant some nice dwarf trees instead. |
|

If the headache doesn't improve, get your BP checked.
Window guy is long gone, trim guy (handyman) is almost done). Curtains are done. I did a really nice job on the curtains I took down (sewed them about 10 years ago, but sun rot finally happened, despite my lining them). Oh, for curtains, read valances. I did a quick and dirty job on the valances this time-they look ok, but not if you look at the backside of them. I find I have little patience anymore for this kind of thing. Handyman also fixed some small things in the kitchen (trim related) and is now putting up the brackets for a bookshelf. I figured since he was here... Pork chops for dinner, along with any sides that strike my fancy. Glorious day outside: 60 and sunny. Crocuses, scylla and glory of the snow going mad. |

I'm sorry to hear about your work sucking, wring. Few things are more demoralizing than feeling unappreciated for what you do. I hope it makes you feel better to know that we appreciate you here and all wish that things turn a corner for you and soon.
I keep getting side-tracked by priority projects and making up for other members of the team being out that it's become a bit of a balancing act for me to stay on top of things. My boss always seems understanding which is lucky. Over the last three days I did a week's worth of work and then some. I feel tired. This wanting to turn in before 7 PM has got to stop. |
