Running in 2012

After my embarrassing display in my last marathon, I took a break for about 10 days. I decided that I wasn't going to sign up for another marathon just yet and that I was going to run shorter races for a while. There are a bunch of races in various distances (5K through half-marathon) around here throughout winter and spring. I'm looking forward to it because I do like to race. Right now, I am training for a half-marathon. It's like a vacation! Some days when I check my training plan, I'm like "really?! that's all I have to run?!" I just have to let go of the feeling that only a marathon is difficult and worthy of tough training.

    There are all sorts of good goals in the sport of running, and there's nothing wrong with improving your 5K, 10K, or half-marathon times!
