LOTR: The War of the Rohirrim (2024)
(LOTR = Lord Of The Rings, in case anyone doesn't know.) On Max. Done in anime style, of which I am not really a fan, so I can’t judge if it was well done or not. But from my perspective, it was pretty interesting, good plot, nice characters, and good story arc. It seemed a bit slow at first, but picked up as it went along, until it reached a nice rousing conclusion. Based on a very brief Appendix to LOTR, greatly expanded for this story. Brian Cox as the voice of Helm Hammerhand, the bigger-than-life warrior king, was brilliant casting. And I liked how the music was all based on themes from the Rohan-based scenes in The Two Towers movie. Tolkien purists will probably hate it, and Tolkien non-fans probably won't get it, but casual fans like me will probably enjoy it.
