My doctor, otherwise known as the evil sadist, decided that it wasn't enough for him to hurt me once a month. No, obviously I needed someone to hurt me on a regular basis, so he sent me to physical therapy. I started Friday, and will be going Monday/Wednesday/Friday for the next month or two or three.

After I went to the doctor last week, I found out that it would be another week or two until I could drive. My hubby had been working half days to get the girl from school and me to the doctor, but he couldn't keep doing that. My mom can't drive, so she couldn't come. His dad has doctor's appointments, and his mom recently had hip replacement that went bad and had to be redone, so while she's improving, she doesn't have the energy to come down. We were beginning to panic a little.

The estate sale at my parents' house is now over and done with. My aunt and uncle are holding a yard sale next weekend to get rid of the smaller stuff that didn't go. I had lots of family and friends around, and actually enjoyed myself most of the time. I'm an only child, but my extended family is huge. I didn't cry or break down until the last day. My cousin will be renting the house, and her husband pulled me aside to talk to me. He told me that if they planned anything for the house that...

Yesterday, we cleaned out the kitchen since something didn't smell right. This morning, my husband went to feed the gerbils before we left for church and discovered that the problem wasn't the kitchen. Dinky, one of our two gerbils, had died. He'd buried himself in the back of his cage (the boys often bury themselves there to sleep), so we didn't see him for a few days. He was well over three years old, which is apparently quite elderly for a gerbil. My husband stayed home to take care of poor...

Tomorrow, I get to go home. I have done my daughterly duty and sorted out my parents' house. My aunt is going to arrange an estate sale at the end of August. I had several friends come and help. There's one room full of stuff I want to keep that my aunt and uncle has promised to find a storage place for, and we took my mom's stuff she wanted to save to her apartment. I'm tired; I'm mentally wiped out, but I've done what I need to do. Woo.
