A silly idea: Rafflympics
With the Olympics approaching, I figure it would be fun to run an Olympic competition on the Raffe, using silly little flash games like QWOP.
Each user would represent their country (maybe we'd split the U.S. into states, since it's such a U.S.-heavy board) and would be allowed to post up to three screenshots for each game during a set amount of time. Top three scores earn medals for their country or state. Anyone interested? We would also need suggestions for other games to play, since QWOP is the only one I can think of. They'd need to be simple flash games everyone can play, with clear scoring or timing. |

Better hope you don't catch the attention of the IOC.

No, thanks. We're already well-stocked with incompetents. . . .

I cheated with the QWOP athlete; I Googled for tips, and I learned to lead (briefly) with the O or the P, and then use mostly the Q and W to propel him forward.
I'm running him again now, and ha! It's fun. ![]() |

Yeah, after I posted last night, I tried to make my athlete run systematically -- according to those internet tips that I quoted and used -- and a very prompt face-plant ensued. But if I do something like PQWWWWWQOWQWQPWWQQQWQWQWQWQO I can get him to lope along. Eh, "lope" is probably not the best word to use in this situation. I can get him to walk very, very silly-ly.

Ha. The first time the stupid guy ran backwards before collapsing onto his chest.
The second time I had him somehow running on his knees. I'm basically a merciful person so I stopped. |
