I didn't read it as a threat to actually track her down but it was a creepy, weird and pointless thing to say. And I don't know what being a mod has to do with it.

Sunny Daze pits SamuelA.

The thread will progress with long-time derpers complaining that it spoils the rapid-fire, highly intellectual nature of the board and a new rule against emojis in titles.

Well, Miller smacks him down again, no warning though. Would warning #8 have sent BigT over the cliff?

It might be a troll but I've heard that sentiment expressed by serious people. Like the only possible solution is to not hire women and/or have a bunch of rules in place because there's no way men can simply keep their dick in their pants and their dirty words in their head.

drad dog is still all whiny and petulant about the "fuck you" in his Pit thread title.
Also, Acey and his "family" are boycotting a chain of department stores I've never heard of, because the store refuses to allow a guy in a ratty Santa costume to stand in front of the entrance robotically ringing a bell. |

I'm not sure and I don't know much about the stuff he and Chuck were talking about but it was just funny seeing Chuck get schooled after he tries to speak with such authority. I pulled the link from an early snark thread and the people in the thread all said it sounded like the real deal.

The Dope is a place for oversharing about personal hygiene, debating the merits of mayonnaise vs. Miracle Whip, and raving over stupid shit like The Orville. Any ignorance-fighting that happens there is incidental. |

Somehow I get the feeling he not only puts two spaces after a period, he tells other people to do the same and won't believe anyone who tells him otherwise. Maybe not that, specifically, but stuff like that. |

I've only read the one review of Staroamer's Fate that's been linked to a million times over the years. Are there others? I know when the book was on Amazon there was only one review and it was from Chuck himself but that seems to have been deleted.
I certainly can have respect for someone who has written a novel and managed to get it published, that's definitely an accomplishment (especially back then, before self publishing became a thing) but, yeah, what Plumbean said otherwise. ![]() |

The pirates at Pirate Bay didn't even pirate it, and they pirate authors no one has ever heard of.

Amazon only has a reissue with no reviews. The new cover is terrible.

After a decade+ reading here anonymously (not really) ... not sure what accolade to give other than ![]() All I can say is the book has not shown up on Bookbub.com , which lets me buy books for free, .99 or (trilogies and above) for really low prices. And I love Conspiracy/Spirits/Gods/Mary Sue books. When they are Free. Which is why I read here. |

I have to give the guy his due—getting a novel (or two) published is definitely something. But the way he prattles on and on about Being An Author, you'd think he was cranking out novels like William Shatner's ghostwriter. |

Catching up after the weekend and reading the Shags thread. It's amazing how he posts the same thing over and over so much that reading his posts is like deja vu every single time.
Things like: Quote:
The most jarring thing about his whole misogyny, besides the fact he won't even acknowledge it, is that he shows examples of it even while denying it. He does not refer to women as people; they're things. Talking about this new Australian woman he created for the ongoing story, he says, "I've always wanted one". That is how he refers to women -- as 'ones', 'thats', 'its', and other non-human wording. I think he's incapable of seeing women as actual people. Oh, and he's totally going out with the Jewish heiress, except he's not, because she failed to make a scheduled phone call to him, and that's a big no-no in his book, so that frees him up to now date the Russian and the Australian. Because that's how the world works. |
