Every time I post, I run the risk of alienating some of my ~~adoring fans~~ other posters.

If I make a serious, long post, some folks will yawn and wonder where the funny guy is.

If I made a humorous aside, some folks will not appreciate my humor and wish I'd quit hijacking.

If I confess my desire to string someone up like an animal and gut them before wearing their skin as an evening coat, someone will complain that leather shouldn't be worn that way.

There's always a risk.

I could guess, but since I couldn't see what he was talking about, it was harder to determine. When I first read it, I thought he was talking about outing someone or something. But that didn't make much sense either. So I asked.

ETA: But frankly, whether I asked about the spelling or just asked what he was on about, I'm guessing I would have gotten the same response because it was obvious to him what he was talking about and not obvious to me.
