Yeetmas 3 - Day 2 - And the three wisemen are no more?
Wise-people would be nice. I am not assuming gender on anyone.
![]() I hope everyone had a nice Christmas weekend and was able to get rested up. In fact, some of you don’t even need to worry about the game anymore….as you have been all wrapped up at Night. Those all wrapped up at Night are: A Christmas Sock Lightfoot Swammerdami And easy peasy….all were Ordinary Mall Santas. Vanilla Townies. It is now Day 2. Day 2 will run until Friday, December 31 at Noon, Eastern USA time. Here is a countdown to that time. Please use the vote counter here to make sure your vote is counted. Three Mall Santas died at Night and that means the players may choose to wrap up to three players today. The vote totals for each wrap are: 1st Wrap - top vote getter automatically is wrapped 2nd Wrap - needs 5 votes 3rd Wrap - needs 2 votes Any “wrap” past the first one is optional and will only occur if the vote threshold is met. Have fun! |

guiri, why did you pick raventhief to highlight? I could've been accused of the same thing. I missed most of the Day and posted principally oog stuff. I still haven't read all of Day 1 and Night 1. (I was holidaying, which included some travel, but I'm back home now) But regardless, I'm curioius why raventhief was featured.

I do agree though if what you have for Morden is true/complete that that's shady.

Looking back at D1 for possible Mariahs.
Likely: SilverJan: snuggled quite a bit - #29, Archangel gave a town read on Silver in #135 for “tone”, Silver returned the favor in #139 since AA requested a sub. She gets quite defensive of AA as the Day progresses, #187 she defends her stance that scum AA would not request a sub, she comments on the votes AA already has in #190-192, and voted Swammi partially for his vote on AA. This post saves her a little though: A Poor Shepherd Boy: did not see scummy behaviour in AA and voted Christmas Sock following her lead #214, a bold move for a fellow scum Meeko FOS’d but did not vote Archangel - #36. During the Night he said this: Quote:
Unlikely: Pleo voted Archangel for her first post - #44 Vanta expressed disbelief in her first post sentiment #50, then voted her, for this and as she already had a vote #125 Bill reacted to SilverJan’s defence of AA, disagreeing that scum wouldn’t do that, and voting AA in #193. Elsewhere, Quote:

Do you all think about the game so much, to the point that, in your brain, at least, you are like, taking for granted that you actually already posted something to the game? Like, you compose a text on the phone to someone, and then, never ever actually hit send, but assume that it is sent, regardless, and then act on, and after that? I'm not sure if it is "Meta" or otherwise "breaks" the game. [[I'm really not sure what counts as breaking the game anymore, anyway.]] Or if it is gilding the lilly, or if it is diminishing returns, or if "" It's the economy, stupid! * "" but a collage of all of the above kept me from voting AA. At the same point in time, all of the above, while collected into each other, is also wholly separate from the FOS that I threw on AA, owing to my Meeko-ness. That is to say, at that point in the day, my FOS had effectively fallen off / lost it's mojo baby, yeah... While still valid, I didn't actively consider it in case building, given the game state later in the day, and with the votes on AA. Just. At a point in time, it's obvious, innit? Realistically, not sure what my vote would have added. *This is how I mean "economy" one problem, per se, AA needing a sub out, and the votes on them, ... solving the other. And in that, what really, really can be gained from yet an extra vote? Especially if that vote would mis-inform analysis later? I actually had a chance to look up "Cocksure" as in that oft repeated post on Facebook, that smart people are paralyzed by doubts, and idiots are only too cocksure to do shit, that blows up in their face. Read into that as you will. ![]() ----- "" Please explain more your decision not to comment or act? "" Thoughts on not commenting and not acting, sure. Decision? That's a degree or two too .... sharp. Please to put the fangs away. I'll remind the game that I effectively also missed EOD as well. I'm sure I've said this here (or you know, in our playgroup's games, if over on Dope) at least once before. ::: I like "Law & Order" [[And super stoked that it's coming back next year]] .... but damn, with my ADHD, if I miss 4 seconds of it, I might was well change the channel, because, short of DVR, you are lost trying to piece that plot line back together if you miss something. And so it is, if you miss the _one_ clump of posts that each Day seems to have. Like, it's nothing. nothing. nothing. OHMYGODAWHOLEBUNCHOFSTUFFALLATONCELETSALLPOSTRIGHT NOWLIKEOURLIFEDEPENDSONITOHMYGODANDTHROWINAFEWVOTE SWHILEWEAREATITOHMYGOD! nothing. nothing. EOD. And it's like. if it was more even paced, yeah, I could get on board more with it. Finally, crucially, I blame that I have now been up for 20 and a half hours. I know this doesn't make sense, some of it, even for me. But, short of not having sleep in that interim, I can't point to drink or substance. I mean, I finished off my Fireball like, 8 hours ago. It tasted better, like I had sinuses or congestion. Thankfully, nothing else is going on.... but I am public facing and in retail.... so. But yeah. That's where I am, currently, and why I am currently. Clear as Mud?

If I could be arsed, Mendie would respond here. But I think that joke has been overplayed in this game, the second time I used the account. Especially not since, you know, ahem, the game proper has started. Even if we are screwed.

What is the motivation to use up Extra on Night 1? I would like to think, that, despite the body count, having .... incensed scum [[Capitlized, or Not]] being moved to do extra, has to ultimately bode well for us. .... and that it's not some stupid townie. At first it's like Townies wouldn't do that. Yes, to play off of that, and then because it would be an assumed opposite to scum . but it's like, No, Town wouldn't do that, can't exist, because I am sure town has already, and always done it all, and always to their detriment. [[Yes, I guess you could attempt a read on that as a tell on my part. But, dammit, you know, it's like I'm not sure what contortion I would need to take, to make that work, any other way.]] That is. the .... voice, the, passiveness of it, it takes itself out of the game, to speak to the Game at large. It's outside the game in that sense, because it speaks to the Theory, not the practice. I don't know, I fear that even that just digs it deeper. But it's like, If I feel like I am making less sense now, to myself, perhaps, just perhaps, you know, double negative reverse psychology, it makes more sense for you guys? ![]() ---- Finally, Finally, I think it's clear that I have no good reads on much of anything right now. and that, that's where my head is, instead of on a pillow. I'm not sure, really, how townies could have appreciable different reads on the current game state, beyond that. Damn. It's not a matter of how close I get to "it" here, if I can't transcend. Can't. Because the Won't [[And that one really weird use of "Want" ]] of me to get there, ..... doesn't ever take. I just feel, like, If I could turn off some part of me, I could be a much better Mafia player. But. ... crucially, that player would not be "Meeko", and it also would not be Me. It's not that the tank is empty. The tank doesn't exist.

I really did think AA was Town, just goes to show that I can't read people at all. I am curious as to how I could have been snuggling AA though, I thought that was something that scum did to Town. I was also wrong about Swammi. If Prof is lying to us then I will have to give up this game forever. I don't think he is lying because there wasn't a counter claim and why would scum take such a risk anyway, that wouldn't make sense.

No I was not aware of his claim until Night started. I placed the joke vote, and then proceeded to work 60 hours that week, on top of prepping for a house full of people on Christmas Day. I logged in one more time, and read a few posts, posted the one post about Pleo because it stood out to me as something I felt comfortable posting about, and I was full planning to come back and catch up. When I logged back in, Day was over. I didn’t realize when EOD was. My fault. 100%

This is Meeko's post about his inaction. I read it after all and think it's probably NAI for Meeko, at least from what I've seen from Meeko anyway. It actually kind of makes sense. I understand about being frozen into inaction, especially in this game. So eh. |

I still don't like guiri's disparate treatment of RT and me, but I don't know the benefit of it to a scum!guiri when there are two scum factions.

That's what makes this game so difficult is because there are 2 scum factions so the vote count doesn't mean as much. I like to see patterns in things and this makes it so much harder. I also have a niggling feeling that guiri could be scum.

I've read the first two pages of Day 1. A lot of social interaction, meeko stuff, a weak push on Arch by Pleonast (that he admitted was weak), and Prof. claiming. The post by The Cat's Meow where they say they really like the Day's posting so far popped out because the ratio of game-related content to social interaction to that point was a lot lower than usual.
